The Taiwanese government had around US$220 billion of bonds outstanding as of 2023. A notable feature of the Taiwanese bond market is the rapid growth of foreign currency denominated bonds. Investors can purchase these funds for both capital growth and income. The country is a developed market economy, which attracts investors.
