Investors.com recently published an article on foreign stock performance compared to the S&P 500. According to the article, a $10,000 investment in 1999 in foreign stocks would be equal to an average of $19,277 today. That same $10,000 investment in the S&P would be worth approximately $18,088 today.
Stock mutual funds dropped each week in the month of January. The decline was primarily due to falling oil prices and concerns abroad. YTD, these funds are down an average of 1.38%.
