The combined market capitalization of companies on the Singapore Exchange was US$600 billion in 2023. They may also leave currency exposure unhedged, or choose to protect the portfolio from swings in the value of the Singapore Dollar (although the currency trades within a band, with the central bank closely monitoring it). Singapore is the world’s 30th largest economy as of 2023, with nominal GDP of $US 550 billion.
