These days, it seems like every other month there’s a new conference or event catering to financial advisors and other investment professionals – the number is in the hundreds. And while there are plenty of impactful events, only a few qualify as a “must-attend” in the financial community. This includes Charles Schwab’s series of IMPACT Conferences.
This year represents the 28th occurrence of Charles Schwab
IMPACT. It’s easy to see why the conference has been going on for so long. The caliber of keynote speakers, workshops and panels/debates is unprecedented. Past speakers have included Fed Chair Janet Yellen and financial planner extraordinaire Michael Kitces. The knowledge base presented at
IMPACT truly can change the nature of your planning business and produce actionable results for your clients.
There’s just one problem – IMPACT is an invitation-only event and registration is subject to approval.
But luckily, you don’t have to worry about that and have a backdoor into the conference. MutualFunds.com’s team will be reporting daily coverage of the events, workshops and other valuable info presented at the conference. Reading our updates and analysis will place you right in the thick of the Schwab IMPACT 2019.
A World-Class Event
The reasons to pay attention to our coverage are plentiful. From November 4 to 7, more than 5,000 attendees will converge in San Diego, California. This represents one of the largest conferences dedicated to financial planning and investment management. And Schwab keeps them busy, with more than 60 education sessions, a handful of carefully selected keynote speeches and hundreds of exhibitors offering the latest in investment vehicles, fintech solutions and financial planning technologies in “The Exchange” exhibition hall.
Some of the events and presenters this year include representatives from top industry names like BlackRock, Northern Trust, Morningstar and State Street Global Advisors. Superstar keynote speakers include names like Schwab’s Chief Investment Strategist Liz Ann Sonders and Presidential Historian and Author Jon Meacham.
And sessions include everything from building-out an RIA business, curating digital-first cultures and key practice management information as well as building-out global portfolios for risk controls. IMPACT has it all and offers a huge base of knowledge that advisors can put to work in their practice. It really truly is a must-see event for the financial planning community.

All in all, the Charles Schwab IMPACT Conference has continued to be one of the financial planning communities must-attend events.
